Airport Smoking Areas ("we", "us", "our") operates the mobile application and website at asafinder.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Service does not sell your personal data to third parties.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Data You Provide

Account information: When you sign in using Google, Apple, or email, we receive your name and email address from the authentication provider. We use this to identify you as a contributor.
Content you submit: When you add or edit a smoking area, add a note, or submit a report, your display name is associated with that content and stored in our database.
Ratings: When you rate a smoking area, your display name is recorded to prevent duplicate ratings.

2.2 Data Collected Automatically

Location data: With your permission, we access your device location solely to sort smoking areas by distance and show your position on the map. Location data is not stored on our servers — it is used only on your device in real-time.
Usage data: We may collect anonymized analytics about app usage (e.g., screen views, crashes) to improve the Service. This data is not linked to your identity.

2.3 Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not track your browsing history
We do not access your contacts, photos, or files (except photos you explicitly upload)
We do not collect device identifiers for advertising
We do not use your data for targeted advertising

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide and maintain the Service (displaying smoking areas, search, maps)
To authenticate you when you sign in
To attribute content you submit (showing your display name on areas you added)
To display leaderboards showing top contributors
To prevent spam and abuse
To send you important service notifications (if you opt in)

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (a managed PostgreSQL database) and served via Cloudflare's global network. All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.

Database: Supabase, hosted in the EU/US
Static assets & API: Cloudflare Workers (global edge network)
Authentication: Rork Auth (Google, Apple, and email Sign-In)

5. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with the following third-party providers. Each has its own privacy policy:

Google Sign-In: Used for authentication. Google Privacy Policy
Apple Sign-In: Used for authentication. Apple Privacy Policy
Google Maps: Used to display the map. Google Maps Privacy
Supabase: Database hosting. Supabase Privacy Policy

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access: You can view your account information in the app's About section
Correction: You can edit your display name in the app
Deletion: You can delete your account directly in the app under About → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and anonymizes your contributions
Data portability: You can contact us to receive a copy of the content you have submitted
Withdraw consent: You can revoke location permission at any time through your device settings

7. Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active
Content you submit (smoking areas, notes) may be retained even after account deletion, as it serves the community. Your display name will be changed to "Anonymous"
Location data is never stored — it exists only in your device's memory during active use

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Users

If you access the Service from outside the European Union or United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the EU or US. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date below.
